About Val-des-Monts
Val-des-Monts is a municipality in the Outaouais region of Quebec, located about 40 km north of Ottawa and formed in 1975 by the merger of Perkins, Saint-Pierre-de-Wakefield, and Poltimore. The area consists mainly of farms and mountainous forests, with many residents commuting to Ottawa or Gatineau for work. Most people live in the village of Perkins, while numerous lakes boost the population during summers with cottage dwellers.
