The Lowndes County Historical Museum occupies the former Carnegie Library building at 305 West Central Avenue in Prescott. The structure was built in 1913 and later became home to the Lowndes County Historical Society.
Something unique: It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 12, 1984.
