About Vincennes
Vincennes serves as the county seat of Knox County in southwestern Indiana, situated on the lower Wabash River between Evansville and Terre Haute. Founded in 1732 by French fur traders, it holds the distinction of being the oldest continually inhabited European settlement in the state.
