About Willis
Willis is located in north central Montgomery County, eight miles north of Conroe. Development began in 1870 after the Union Pacific Railroad built track through the area. Historically part of the Piney Woods, its economy relied on lumber and agriculture, including tobacco production that declined due to competition from Cuba.
