About Zongolica
Zongolica is a city and municipality in the central Mountains region of Veracruz, situated roughly 100 km from the state capital of Xalapa. The area covers 63.34 square kilometers and had a population of 45,028 in 2020. Its name derives from the Nahuatl phrase Tzontli-coliuhqui, meaning 'crafty hair'.
