Alice is a city in Jim Wells County, Texas, and serves as the county seat. It was established in 1888 and has a population of 17,891 as of the 2020 census. The town’s name evolved from Bandana to Kleberg before being renamed Alice after Alice Gertrudis King Kleberg.
