Located on East Cooper Avenue, The Red Onion is Aspen's oldest restaurant, housed in a late-19th-century three-story red brick Italianate building. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987 as 'New Brick–The Brick Saloon', it is currently closed while efforts to reopen are underway.
