About Atlixco
Atlixco is a city in the Mexican state of Puebla that serves as a regional industrial and commercial center while being economically better known for its production of ornamental plants and cut flowers. Founded early in the colonial period, it eventually separated from Huejotzingo to become an independent municipality. The city hosts the El Huey Atlixcayotl, a modern adaptation of an old indigenous celebration featuring hundreds of participants creating music and dance.
