Budd Lake is an unincorporated community and census-designated place within Mount Olive Township in Morris County, New Jersey. The population reached a record high of 9,784 in the 2020 census, continuing a growth trend from previous decades. Before taking its current name from John Budd, the area was known as Hattacawanna Lake.
