About Burbank
Located seven miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, Burbank occupies the southeastern end of the San Fernando Valley. The city is divided into a flatland section and a downtown area situated in the foothills of the Verdugo Mountains. It was named after David Burbank, who established a sheep ranch there in 1867.
