About Ciudad Ayala
Ciudad Ayala is located in the east-central part of the Mexican state of Morelos and was formerly known as Mapachtlan. The city honors Coronel Francisco Ayala, who fought alongside José María Morelos during the 1812 Siege of Cuautla. It officially became a municipality on April 17, 1869.
