About Forrest City
Forrest City serves as the county seat of St. Francis County in Arkansas and was named for General Nathan Bedford Forrest. His construction crew camped there after the Civil War to complete a railroad line connecting Memphis and Little Rock. The city identifies itself as the Jewel of the Delta.
