About Guthrie
Guthrie is a city in Logan County, Oklahoma and part of the Oklahoma City Metroplex. It served as a railroad station stop after the Land Run of 1889, when it rapidly grew with 10,000 new residents. The town was designated territorial capital and later became the first state capital of Oklahoma before losing that status to Oklahoma City in 1910.
