About Jalpan de Serra
Jalpan de Serra sits in northern Querétaro within the Sierra Gorda ecological zone and hosts two of five mid-18th century Franciscan missions designated as a World Heritage Site in 2003. The area is home to the Pame indigenous group, though population has declined since the mid-20th century despite tourism growth linked to its Pueblo Mágico status.
