About Jojutla
Jojutla is a municipality in the state of Morelos, Mexico, with its seat at Jojutla de Juárez. The name derives from Nahuatl roots meaning 'Place of abundant blue skies' or 'Place abundant in blue paint,' referencing local plants used for dye. Remnants of a unique three-part pyramid demolished by colonial authorities can still be seen in the staircase of the municipal palace.
