About Xoxocotla
Xoxocotla is a town in southern Morelos, situated roughly 30 km south of Cuernavaca. The name derives from Nahuatl, translating to 'place where there are green pines'. It separated from Puente de Ixtla to become its own indigenous municipality on 1 January 2019.
