About Kailua-Kona
Kailua-Kona is the second-largest settlement on the island of Hawaii and serves as the commercial and tourist hub for the island's west side. While often called simply Kona or Kona Town, this unincorporated community has seen significant population growth in recent decades. The area is served by Kona International Airport, which is located just to the north in the adjacent census-designated place of Kaiminani.
