About Lakes
Lakes is a former census-designated place in Matanuska-Susitna Borough that serves as part of the Anchorage Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community saw its population grow from 6,706 in 2000 to 8,364 by 2010. For the 2020 Census, the area was divided into two separate entities: North Lakes and South Lakes.
