LaSalle is a town in Essex County, Ontario, serving as a bedroom community south of Windsor. It shares with Windsor the distinction of being the oldest French settlement area in Southwestern Ontario. The municipality was named for explorer René-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle.
