Latham is a hamlet and census-designated place in Albany County, New York, situated along U.S. Route 9 within the town of Colonie. This dense suburb north of Albany is also traversed by Interstate 87 and NY Route 7. The area experienced shifting census status over decades, ceasing to be a CDP in 2000 before regaining that designation in 2020.
