About Minnetrista
Located about 23 miles west of Minneapolis, Minnetrista is a largely rural city within the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area. The landscape features farmland, woods, and several lakes, including part of Lake Minnetonka, which is the state's ninth-largest body of water. The city's name derives from the Dakota language, combining words that mean "water" and "crooked".
