Norwich is a city in New London County, Connecticut, situated where the Yantic, Shetucket, and Quinebaug Rivers converge to form its harbor. The Thames River flows south from this junction toward Long Island Sound, anchoring the city within the Southeastern Connecticut Planning Region. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 40,125.
