Paso Robles is a city in San Luis Obispo County, California, situated on the Salinas River about 30 miles north of San Luis Obispo. The area is known for its hot springs, abundance of wineries, production of olive oil, and almond orchards. It also plays host to the California Mid-State Fair.

El Paso de Robles Area Historical Society
Located in Spanish Lakes, the El Paso de Robles Area Historical Society operates from the former Paso Robles Carnegie Library. This Classical Revival-style building was constructed between 1907 and 1908 with a grant from the Carnegie Foundation.
The Works Progress Administration expanded the back of the library in 1939 before it ceased operations as a public library in 1995.
