About Reno
Reno sits in the High Eastern Sierra foothills along the Nevada–California border, serving as the county seat of Washoe County. Located about 23 miles northeast of Lake Tahoe, it is the most populous city in Nevada outside the Las Vegas Valley. The city earned its nickname "The Biggest Little City in the World" and recorded a population of 264,165 at the 2020 census.
