About Star
Located in northwestern Ada County with parts extending into Canyon County, Star is a rapidly growing suburb of Boise. It was named by 19th-century travelers who used the star on a schoolhouse to determine east and west while heading toward Middleton and Boise. The community shares its schools with both the Middleton School District and the West Ada School District.
