Tarandacuao is a Mexican city situated in the lowlands of Guanajuato, bordered by Jerécuaro, Acámbaro, and the state of Michoacán. The municipality covers an area of 117.39 square kilometres and includes outlying communities such as La Purísima and San Juan De Dios. According to the 2005 census, the population stood at 11,583 inhabitants.
