About Trois-Rivières
Located at the confluence of the Saint-Maurice and Saint Lawrence rivers, Trois-Rivières serves as the economic and cultural hub of the Mauricie region. Situated roughly halfway between Montreal and Quebec City within the densely populated corridor, it holds a significant place in colonial history. The settlement was established by French colonists on July 4, 1634, making it the second permanent settlement in New France after Quebec City.
