About Truth or Consequences
Truth or Consequences serves as the county seat of Sierra County in New Mexico, with a population of 6,052 recorded in 2020. The city’s history and economy are deeply tied to local geothermal hot springs. It gained notoriety for renaming itself in March 1950 after the popular radio show Truth or Consequences.

Geronimo Springs Museum
Located at 211 Main Street, the Geronimo Springs Museum is a small regional museum in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. It takes its name from Geronimo Hot Springs, part of the Hot Springs Artesian Basin.
The springs were named after the Chiricahua Apache leader Geronimo from the Bedonkohe band of the Apache people.
