About Xico
Xico serves as the municipal seat of Valle de Chalco in the State of Mexico, functioning essentially as a single entity with its surrounding municipality. Located adjacent to the east side of the Federal District, it is part of the larger Mexico City metropolitan area. The city rests on the old lakebed of Lake Chalco, which was drained along with much of the Basin of Mexico.
