About Astoria
Astoria is a port city and the county seat of Clatsop County, Oregon. Founded in 1811, it is the oldest city in the state and was the first permanent American settlement west of the Rocky Mountains. It lies on the south shore of the Columbia River near its flow into the Pacific Ocean.
