Coacalco de Berriozábal is one of 125 municipalities in the State of Mexico, located north of Mexico City within the Greater Mexico City conurbation. The municipal seat is San Francisco Coacalco, and the area honors Felipe Berriozábal, a Mexican politician and military leader who lived from 1829 to 1900.
