East Garden City is a hamlet and former census-designated place located within Uniondale in the northeastern Town of Hempstead. Situated on Long Island’s Hempstead Plains, it lies along the border between Hempstead and North Hempstead. The area had a population of 6,208 at the time of the 2010 census.
