The Cradle of Aviation Museum is an aerospace museum located in East Garden City, Uniondale, New York on Long Island. It commemorates Long Island’s role in aviation history and sits on land that was part of Mitchel Air Force Base, close to Roosevelt Field and other Hempstead Plains airfields.
Something unique: "Cradle of Aviation" was coined by the mid‑1920s for the cluster of airfields in the area.
