About Kualapu‘u

Kualapu‘u is a census-designated place on the island of Molokai in Maui County, Hawaiʻi, with a population of 2,110 recorded in the 2020 census. While its name literally translates to "hill overturned," it is likely a corruption of Puʻuʻuala, meaning "sweet potato hill." The present settlement originated as a former pineapple cannery village once associated with Del Monte Foods.
