Mont-Laurier is a municipality in western Quebec situated on the banks of the Lièvre River, a tributary of the Ottawa River. Often called the Capital of the Haute-Laurentides, the town uses the motto Laurus elationis praemium, which translates to Lift the laurels of reward.
