About Port Elgin
Port Elgin is a community within Saugeen Shores, situated on the traditional territory of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation. Originally called Normanton, it adopted its current name upon incorporation in 1874 to honor James Bruce, the 8th Earl of Elgin.
