About San Andrés Tuxtla
San Andrés Tuxtla is the largest city in the Los Tuxtlas region of southern Veracruz. Settled after a San Martín Volcano eruption displaced residents into this valley during the early colonial period, it has served as Mexico’s center for fine tobacco production since the 19th century.
